The evolution of the sports center market was discussed in this first edition. José Nercelles, CEO of L'Orange Bleue, and Rafa Martos, CEO and Co-Founder of Trainingym, spoke about business development and applied technology, respectively. They were joined by Ana Poveda and Paola Carrillo, digital marketing experts from Grupo Enfoca, a leading agency in the province.
The event showcased the new gym at the ISRG group's offices and the Bodytone showroom, along with the brand's various product lines. Following this, the first edition of The Future of Fitness took place. This event highlighted the growth potential of the fitness industry in the Spanish and French markets: "In Spain and France, the penetration rate is around 8%, in Europe 15%, and specifically in the Scandinavian countries around 20%," stated José Nercelles. "Fitness is a market with significant long-term potential; compared to fashion retail, we are about five years behind. Therefore, there is a lot of room for development. It is currently in a niche stage, and there is an opportunity for fitness brands," concluded the CEO of L'Orange Bleue.
For his part, Rafa Martos indicated the three variables for generating business for a gym or sports center: customer loyalty, customer acquisition, and increased service offerings to raise the average ticket price.
The final presentation focused on the importance of digital marketing for any type of business, large or small. In this regard, Ana Poveda and Paola Carrillo outlined five essential marketing actions for every business: having a Google Business profile and a website, maintaining a presence on the social media platforms your customers use, and investing in local advertising.
Following the conferences, a roundtable discussion was held to explore a possible vision for the future of fitness. Rafa Martos suggested that the future of gyms lies in a shift towards wellness centers, where people not only practice sports but also address topics such as nutrition and psychology, among others. Regarding the digital boom in the fitness world in recent years, José Nercelles expressed his belief that, despite the sector's digitalization, customers want and will continue to want to go to gyms to train, also with the aim of socializing.
The first edition of The Future of Fitness was a success and can be viewed on the brand's website. The exhibition hall will be open to anyone who wants to meet Bodytone and discover its products.
